Meditations On Cartoons, Politics And Sucker MCs

the big difference

Posted by billrichards on 7 January 2008

I like drawing Huckabee. He lost 100 pounds before he started running, so he sort of has facial qualities reminiscent of a partially-deflated balloon. Meanwhile, his beady eyes give the impression of insanity and true believer-ness. Were it not for the fact that he’d make Bush look like Woodrow Wilson if elected, I’d be secretly pulling for him.

Romney, though, I always have a tough time with. His photogenic features don’t lend themselves to caricature. His face is angular, but it’s also squarish. And he’s got that steely, vacant, robot quality in his eyes. He reminds me of Patrick Bateman.

You left out Chuck Norris in the background.

For the love of god, draw a cartoon about that!

    It’s weird.
