New Red & Black column up today. This time, it’s about Wesley Clark. I wrote it a week and a half ago, so the dates are wrong. And for some reason the editors changed my own McCain characterization in the last graph — “America’s leading candidate for POW-in-Chief” — to the family-friendly “America’s leading candidate for president.” But I was similarly tempted to micromanage copy during my two summers as opinion page editor, though, so I can’t really complain.
Besides, at press time Obama was still the leading candidate for Pandering-Wimp-in-Chief. Unity through lawbreaking… great success!
