Bill Richards is a cartoonist and illustrator from Atlanta, Georgia. From 2004 to 2010 he served as staff editorial cartoonist for The Red & Black, an independent student-run newspaper serving the UGA community. He drew more than 500 cartoons for them.

Richards’ cartoons have earned him several honors, including the Society of Professional Journalists’ 2009 “Mark of Excellence” Award. He was a runner-up for the 2007 and 2009 Scripps-Howard National Journalism Awards. In addition to The Red & Black, his work has appeared in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Huffington Post, AlterNet, ProgressiveCommons.org, OurFuture.org and a number of college newspapers via syndication.
